Milan Zafirovski
Milan Zafirovski is professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of North Texas, USA. He holds doctoral degrees in economics and sociology. His research interests are interdisciplinary. He has published the following books: Curse in the ‘Promised Land’? (2015, Logos-Verlag); Modernity and Terrorism (2013, Brill); The Enlightenment and its Effects on Modern Society (2011, Springer); The “Destiny” of Modern Societies (2009, Brill); Democracy, Economy and Conservatism (2008, Rowman & Littlefield); The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Authoritarianism (2007, Springer); Liberal Modernity and its Adversaries (2007, Brill); Free Society and its Nemesis (2007, Rowman & Littlefield); Market and Society (2003, Praeger); The Duality of Structure in Markets (2002, NOVA); and Exchange, Action and Social Structure (2001, Greenwood). Also, he published a variety of articles in refereed economics and sociology journals and other outlets in America, Europe and elsewhere. In addition, he is a co-editor of International Encyclopedia of Economic Sociology (2006, Routledge), an advisory editor in Economic Sociology for the Encyclopedia of Sociology (edited by George Ritzer) (2007/2015, Blackwell) and in Economy for The Encyclopedia Of Social Theory (edited by Brian Turner) (2015).
