Created and implemented a marketing and publicity plan that doubled season ticket sales in one season.  Created a fund-raising plan that doubled private contributions in one season.  Supervised all programming.  Wrote and edited Chamber Music Herald newsletter.  Wrote program notes, edited program booklets, composed all press materials, fund-raising letters, brochure copy and grant proposals.  Oversaw production of all print materials.

Event Administrator/Consultant, Chamber Music Hawaii, June-July, 1994
Produced two chamber orchestra concerts featuring internationally renowned soloists.  Advised CMH on use of a large infusion of state funds.

Executive Director, Writers' League of Texas, Austin, 1986-1988
Directed, developed one of the country’s largest organizations for writers.
WLT services included monthly meetings, a monthly newsletter, writing classes for beginning and professional writers, production of educational audio tapes, grants to writers, a job bank, a public writing library, technical assistance, participation in a city Arts Hotline, production of a summer arts festival.

Founder/Director, ISIS New Music Ensemble, Austin, 1987-1990
Created and produced a contemporary chamber music series.
Responsible for all aspects of production, including programming, publicity, marketing, fund-raising, musician hiring, rehearsing, performing.

Founding Director, MFA Creative Writing Program, University of Wyoming, 2003-
Directed the development and launch of a new graduate program in creative writing at a state university.  Responsibilities included advising, curriculum development, faculty hiring, fund-raising, publicity, recruitment, visiting writers series, student intern program, and committee work, in addition to teaching (see course list under University Teaching). 

Manager, Special Events, Bishop Museum, Honolulu, 1990-1991
Created, produced and supervised exhibition openings, Family Sundays (monthly educational/cultural festival on museum grounds), and the Charles Reed Bishop Dinner (an annual banquet for major donors).  Founded and edited museum newsletter.
